Raging Lion Don't keep your routine the same all the time. Make sure you are always challenging yourself to do new things and that you're challenging your body as well. Mix up your workouts to confuse your muscles and ensure you are always making progress. If you are able to do this successfully, you will not get as tired of your routines, and you will want to continue to do them. When on a program to build muscle, remember the importance of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are what your body needs to have the energy for workouts. If you don't eat enough of them your body can break down protein to use for energy instead. Get enough carbs that your body needs for functioning, and you can have the fuel you need to get through your exercise.

You need to watch your diet, especially on those days that you intend to work out. You will need to consume more calories than normal throughout the day, with a push in the hour prior to your workout. This does not mean that you should eat too much, but eat more than you would on a day that you would not work out. Raging Lion Protein is the foundation of any muscle building diet. Protein is the building block that muscles are made of. It will be especially difficult for your body to produce additional muscle mass if you don't give it the protein it needs. Aim to eat lean and healthy proteins at least three times a day.

Raging Lion Cool down with a short stretching routine to ensure that your muscles start the repair process from a healthy point. If you are under 40 years old, maintain the stretch for at least 30 seconds. If you are a little older, try to keep your stretch for about a minute total. This method of stretching helps you avoid injury after your muscle building exercises. Use caution when taking creating supplements for long periods of time. Those with kidney problems should not take creatine at all. Another possible effect of creatine supplementation is adverse effects on the heart muscle, including arrhythmia and heart muscle cramps. Younger individuals are generally more susceptible to these problems. More is not better, do not exceed the recommended safe dosages.

Raging Lion You must eat carbohydrates, if you wish to build muscle. Carbs are the fuel that your body uses to power itself through exercise routines. A good formula for your carb consumption is to eat two or three grams per every pound of your weight.

Raging Lion Try changing your routine. As you repeat any particular workout routine, it could become boring, which can prevent you from working out. Engage in different exercises each time you workout to ensure you work different groups each time. By adjusting your workouts, you keep them interesting and you will stay engaged.

Raging Lion Be sure that you add in as many reps and sets as possible as you workout. Make sure each rep includes 15 lifts or more, and always have a break between reps. This can help to increase the flow of lactic acids, which help muscle growth. When you constantly do this as you workout you help maximize the amount of muscles you build. Eat tons of protein when you're attempting to add muscle. Protein is a primary building block for muscle. Not consuming enough of it can actually cause your muscles to deteriorate, which ruins your purpose of trying to bulk up in the first place. It is possible to ingest about 1 gram of protein for each pound you weigh.

Raging Lion Try to work out for an hour, or less. After an hour of working out, the body will produce cortisol at an increased rate. Cortisol interferes with testosterone and will, therefore, stop you from building muscles. You will optimize your efforts by keeping your workouts short and intense. When building muscle is important, do not forget about carbohydrates. Carbs are essential for keeping you energetic. When you run out of your carbohydrates, your body will burn protein to create the energy it needs. Get enough carbs that your body needs for functioning, and you can have the fuel you need to get through your exercise. Mix up your routine. If you stick to a single routine, it may get boring and you won't want to do it. Add variety to the exercises you perform, and try to focus on different muscle groups with each gym visit. Having a new workout to look forward to each time you go to the gym makes it more likely that you will stick with your bodybuilding program.
